What are the Red River Dance Competition Companies?
The Red Lines are designed for advanced dancers looking to further expand and grow their dance experiences.
Dancers attend 4-6 regional competitions each year and one Nationals every other year.

The Gem Lines (introduced in 2017) are designed for beginner/intermediate dancers who want a taste of competition with a lower commitment. Gem Line dancers attend 2-3 regional competitions each year.
These groups perform energetic and challenging dance numbers at numerous community events, attend an annual dance convention, perform at all Red River Dance recitals, and compete in competitions around our great region. The Red River Dance Competition Team is nationally recognized & strives to train well-rounded dancers and in turn amazing human beings inside and out!

By participating on a competition team, dancers learn dedication, responsibility, teamwork, and build confidence!
Competition Team age/skill levels are as follows:
Red Lines:
Senior // Ages 15-18
Teen // Ages 12-15
Junior // Ages 8-12
Mini // Ages 5-8
Gem Lines*:
Diamonds // Ages 14-18
Rubies // Ages 12-14
Emeralds // Ages 9-11
Sapphires // Ages 7-8
Moonstones // Ages 5-6
*Does not require an audition.
There may be exceptions for each group (older or younger) depending on dance skill. Age is decided by how old the dancer will be as of January 1st of the following year for competition purposes.
